Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

The Hadeeth which you referred to in the question is a lie and it does not exist in any of the books of the Sunnah or registers of Islam. Rather, it is transmitted through a chain of liars, from a liar to another liar in their books (the deviant sects); they narrate while acknowledging that its source is unknown.

The book “Haathihi Mafaaheemonah”, authored by Shaykh Saaleh Aal Ash-Ashaykh reads:

The book Ad-Dhurar As-Suniyyah fi arrad ‘ala Al-wahaabiyyah, authored by Ahmad ibn Zayni Dahlaan, p.155 reads:

“The prominent scholar As-Sayyid, 'Alawi ibn Ahmad ibn Hassan the son of Al-Qutb, As-Sayyid, Abdullaah Al-Haddaad Baa’lawi, in his book which he authored in response to Ibn Abdull-Wahhaab, entitled 'Jalaa’ Ath-Thalaam fi Ar Raddi ‘ala An-Najdi Al-lathi adhalla Al-‘Awaam', which is a highly impressive book that includes a number of Ahadeeth, among which is the Hadeeth narrated by Al-‘Abbaas ibn ‘Abdul-Muttalib may Allaah be pleased with him the uncle of the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) and he attributed this Hadeeth to the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) who said: 'In the twelfth century, a man will come out in the valley of Bani Haneefah [in Najd] (whose appearance) is like a bull that lunges against its yoke. There will be much slaughter and killing in his time. They (this man and his followers) will consider the wealth (possessions) of Muslims lawful for themselves and they will trade with these possessions among themselves. They will consider (shedding) the blood of Muslims lawful for them to do, and they will boast among themselves about doing so. In that tribulation, the despised and the lowly will attain positions of might and honor. Their idle desires will keep company with them the way a dog keeps company with its master.' There are other similar narrations that strengthen the meaning of this Hadeeth, although the source of this narration is not known.

Shaykh Saaleh Aal Ash-Shaykh commented on this nonsense saying:

This is a fabrication done by the man mentioned or people like him, he lies and attributes the (fabricated) narration to the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) openly in front of the creation; how could they dare to do so? Woe to the hearts of those who love such people! They lie about the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) and yet claim to love him sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ). How can these two contradicting matters exist in the same heart? No, by Allah! (these two contradicting matters do not exist) except in the heart of an innovator and a liar. It is astonishing that he said: “although the source of this narration is not known”. If he had attributed it to a lost inexistent book, then his lie would have spread more among the ignorant, but not among the scholars who know the light of the word of prophecy.” [End of quote]

For more benefit on the real mission of Shaykh Mohammed ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhaab, may Allaah have mercy upon, please refer to Fataawa 85146 and 81463.

Allah knows best.
